Scriptures of the Week

The full school-wide scripture list, week by week.

Matthew 6:9–13 (KJV) — taught by Jesus, a prayer for all. Every FLOTA scholar learns it by heart and learns what the words mean.

Exegete means to dig into a passage and pull out what it really says. Work through these five questions with every scripture we read.

Each quarter has a school-wide memory focus taught during Morning Meeting.

Quarter 1 · Weeks 1–9

Learn the books of the Bible in order, Old and New Testament.

Sing daily; slow the playback speed and teach only the section being learned.

Quarter 2 · Weeks 10–19

How to share the gospel (sin, the cross, believing and confessing), and learning the names of God.

Gospel-message song: to be added. Until then, practice sharing the gospel using the Romans verses in Weeks 10–14.

Quarter 3 · Weeks 20–29

Learn the nine fruits of the Spirit using the F.R.U.I.T. acrostic, plus weekly Bible trivia questions every student should know.

Sing daily with hand motions; pair with the F.R.U.I.T. acrostic chart.

Quarter 4 · Weeks 30–39

Learn the Ten Commandments in order and study the major parables of Jesus.
